Software Architect

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale software platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, Java, Spring Boot, Python, Kafka, databases, and cloud-native technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications using modern architectural principles.
• Define application architecture, technology standards, and best practices across engineering teams.
• Lead the design and implementation of distributed systems and microservices-based solutions.
• Develop and review high-level and low-level designs for complex business applications.
• Build and optimize high-performance systems capable of processing millions of transactions with low latency.
• Drive architecture reviews, technical governance, and design discussions across multiple teams.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with business objectives.
• Design resilient systems using fault-tolerance, retry, circuit breaker, caching, and load-balancing strategies.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
• Integrate enterprise applications with third-party systems, APIs, messaging platforms, and legacy systems.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, database, infrastructure, and network layers.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, caching strategies, and resource utilization.
• Ensure software quality through architecture reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on architecture, design patterns, and technology adoption.
• Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) and technical feasibility studies for new initiatives.
• Drive modernization and digital transformation initiatives across enterprise platforms.

Requirements:

• Deep expertise in enterprise software architecture, distributed systems, microservices, and large-scale platform design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Kafka, databases, and cloud-native technologies.
• Proven ability to design highly scalable, fault-tolerant, high-performance systems processing millions of transactions.
• Expertise in caching, database optimization, load balancing, resiliency patterns, and high-availability architectures.
• Experience integrating complex third-party systems, enterprise platforms, APIs, and fragmented technology ecosystems.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization capabilities across application, database, infrastructure, and network layers.
• Ability to define architecture standards, technology roadmaps, and engineering best practices while remaining hands-on.
• Proven leadership in mentoring engineers, conducting architecture reviews, driving POCs, and delivering strategic technology initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Cloud architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in fintech, banking, e-commerce, healthcare, or other high-volume transaction systems.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including OAuth2 JWT and Zero Trust architecture.
