We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, with a strong understanding of the quick commerce and e-commerce business environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records in fast-paced, high-volume businesses.

The role requires someone who can independently manage accounting activities, work closely with internal teams and external vendors, and ensure timely and accurate financial operations. Candidates with experience handling finance and accounts for quick commerce, e-commerce, marketplaces, retail-tech, or digitally driven businesses will be preferred.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including recording, reviewing, and maintaining financial transactions.
• Handle accounting activities related to quick commerce and e-commerce business operations, including high-volume transactions, orders, settlements, expenses, and vendor payments.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure proper accounting of revenue, expenses, receivables, payables, and other financial transactions.
• Process and verify invoices, bills, payment requests, credit notes, debit notes, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams such as procurement, operations, sales, business teams, and finance to resolve accounting-related queries.
• Work closely with vendors and external stakeholders to ensure timely documentation, payments, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare accounting reports, MIS, schedules, and supporting data required for management reporting and financial analysis.
• Ensure transactions are properly classified, recorded, and supported by relevant documentation.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and support timely collections and payments.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and work proactively toward their resolution.
• Support statutory and internal audits by providing accurate financial data, reconciliations, and supporting documents.
• Maintain proper records and follow established accounting policies, controls, and compliance requirements.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Finance and Accounts.
• Relevant experience in quick commerce or e-commerce, preferably in businesses involving high transaction volumes.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, payables, receivables, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting activities independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and accounting or ERP systems.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Bank Reconciliation and resolving unmatched or outstanding transactions.
• Experience with Vendor Reconciliation, including identifying invoice, payment, credit note, and ledger discrepancies.
• Exposure to marketplace settlements, payment gateways, online transactions, or e-commerce reconciliation processes.
• Experience working with accounting software/ERP platforms.
