Role Responsibilities

As a Staff Software Engineer - Integration Architect supporting North America (NA) and Latin America & Caribbean (LACA), you will lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable payment processor integrations, partnering with business, product, operations, and external financial institutions to enable seamless money movement. Leveraging cloud-native architectures, modern integration patterns, and AI-assisted engineering practices, you will define reusable solutions that accelerate partner onboarding, improve reliability and operational efficiency, and support business growth across the region. Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and partners across NA and LACA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable payment processor integrations across North America (NA) and Latin America & Caribbean (LACA).
  • Define and implement enterprise integration patterns, APIs, and reference architectures for rapid partner onboarding.
  • Partner with business, product, operations, compliance, and external stakeholders to deliver integration solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as the technical lead for strategic payment processor, banking, and financial institution integrations.
  • Architect and develop AWS-based microservices using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native design principles.
  • Design secure, resilient, and highly available integration solutions leveraging event-driven architectures and Kafka-based messaging platforms.
  • Build solutions supporting payment processing, transaction routing, settlement, reconciliation, and partner enablement.
  • Establish reusable integration frameworks, API standards, and engineering best practices that improve delivery speed and scalability.
  • Collaborate with external partners through solution design, certification, testing, implementation, and production rollout activities.
  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development productivity, testing, documentation, and operational excellence.
  • Review architectures and code to ensure compliance with enterprise standards for security, scalability, reliability, and governance.
  • Lead modernization initiatives that transform legacy integration platforms into cloud-native, distributed solutions.
  • Monitor and optimize platform performance, focusing on availability, latency, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance across engineering teams and integration workstreams.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor for regional stakeholders and partners, leveraging fluency in English and Spanish to drive successful outcomes across NA and LACA.

  • Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and stakeholder engagements across NA and LACA regions.
  • Experience working directly with external partners, vendors, payment processors, or banking institutions.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using AI coding agents or AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate engineering productivity and software delivery.
