Database Administrator

We’relooking for a Database Administrator to maintainthe performance, security, and availability of our databases. You’llsupport database operations, troubleshoot issues, and work with development and infrastructure teams to ensure data is reliable and accessible.

The successful candidate will be accountable for:

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database systems.

• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.

• Manage backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.

• Protect databases through access controls, security practices, and regular maintenance.

• Support developers with database designand daily tasks.

• Create and maintaindatabase documentation and operational procedures.

• Plan for database capacity, growth, and high availability.

• Participate in incident response and resolve database-related service interruptions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relatedfield.

• Experience atleast 3years administering one or more database platforms, such as [Microsoft SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL].

• Strong SQL skills and understanding of database design.

• Experience with database backup, recovery, monitoring, and security.

• Ability to investigate issues and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Nice to have
  • SQL certifications like MCSE/MCSA.

• • Experience with cloud database services such as [AWS / Azure].

• • Scripting experience with [PowerShell / Python].

• • Familiarity with automation, infrastructure ascode, or DevOps practices.

• • Experience in performance tuning.
