Visual Designer

We're looking for a highly creative and hands-on Visual Designer to help define and shape the visual identity and product experience of Wizzme. As an early member of the design team, you will play a key role in crafting how the product looks, feels, and communicates with users across web and mobile. You'll work closely with the founders and product team to create visually compelling, intuitive, and consistent experiences from core product interfaces and design systems to illustrations, interactions, and brand elements. This is a high-ownership role for someone with exceptional visual taste who enjoys building from scratch and seeing their work directly shape a consumer-facing product.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Visual Design and Product UI:

• Create high-quality, visually compelling user interfaces for Wizzme across web and mobile platforms.
• Translate product ideas and requirements into polished UI designs that balance aesthetics, usability, and consistency.
• Define and maintain a strong visual language across the product.
• Bring strong attention to typography, spacing, color, hierarchy, layout, and visual details.

Visual Identity and Brand Expression:

• Help shape and evolve Wizzme's visual identity across product and other user-facing touchpoints.
• Create visual assets, illustrations, icons, graphics, and other design elements where required.
• Ensure a consistent and recognizable visual experience across the platform.

Interaction and Motion:

• Design thoughtful micro-interactions, transitions, and visual states that make the product feel engaging and intuitive.
• Explore creative ways to communicate complex or AI-driven experiences visually.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented with high visual fidelity.

Design Systems:

• Build and maintain reusable UI components, visual patterns, and design guidelines.
• Establish a scalable design system that can evolve as the product and team grow.
• Ensure consistency across different platforms, including Web, Android, and iOS.

Rapid Exploration and Prototyping:

• Quickly explore multiple visual directions and concepts.
• Create prototypes and high-fidelity mockups to communicate ideas and bring concepts to life.
• Use AI-powered design and development tools to accelerate exploration and experimentation.

Collaborate with the Founding Team:

• Work directly with founders and engineers to understand the product vision and translate it into compelling visual experiences.
• Participate in product discussions and contribute creative perspectives to product development.
• Take ownership of the quality and consistency of everything users see and interact with.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in visual design, UI design, product design, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual and UI design skills.
• Experience designing B2C or consumer-facing digital products for web and/or mobile.
• Experience creating polished, high-quality interfaces and scalable design systems.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of design work from concept to final execution.
• Experience experimenting with current AI tools for design, prototyping, or creative projects is a strong plus.

Tools and Technologies:

• You should be comfortable with:
• Figma for UI design, visual exploration, prototyping, and design systems.
• Modern AI tools such as Claude, Lovable, Cursor, or similar tools for rapid experimentation and prototyping.
• Designing for web, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Understanding basic frontend concepts and constraints is a strong plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth startup.
• Experience creating or contributing to brand and visual identity systems.
• Motion design or interaction design experience.
• Illustration, iconography, or graphic design skills.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or frontend development.
