The role
As a Data Analyst, you’ll support the business by providing accurate data, insightful reports and clear analysis.
Reporting to the Head of ABI, you will work on a variety of analytical tasks, from writing SQL queries to building dashboards and responding to data requests from stakeholders.
Your work will form the foundation of our data-driven culture, helping teams across the organisation access and understand the information they need to succeed.
What you’ll do
Data Analysis & Querying
- Extract, clean and analyse data from various sources, using SQL to answer defined business questions
- Developing data pipelines and data transformation engines using SQL/Python.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests from stakeholders across the business.
Reporting & Dashboarding
- Build and maintain operational dashboards and reports using our BI tools
- Assist senior analysts in the development of more complex analytical dashboards
Data Integrity & Team Support
- Assist in the validation and testing of data to ensure its accuracy and integrity before use in reporting
- Document data sources, metrics, data transformation logic and report logic to ensure clarity and consistency for all users.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative or technical field
- 5+ years’ experience in Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar analytical role
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and extracting data
- Strong analytics capabilities, including hands-on experience working with large datasets with SQL and Python
- Experience using a data visualisation or BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI (including DAX)
- Strong Communication Skills to explain complex analysis through writing, visuals and presentations
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability t work with different stakeholders
- Experience working with modern data and analytics platforms, including technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azura data services, or equivalent cloud-based analytics environments.
