DevOps Cloud Infrastructure - (Public Sector)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure integration solutions spanning AWS cloud environments and on-premises systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform to streamline integration processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Manage and optimise Unix/Linux systems and services, including Elasticsearch clusters for log management and analysis.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure and application monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), including day-to-day cluster operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure integration requirements, develop technical solutions, and implement DevOps practices using CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, system, and application issues while minimising disruption to business operations.
• Plan and execute cloud migration strategies from on-premises environments to cloud, covering both planning and implementation phases.

Requirements

• Strong experience in infrastructure integration across cloud and on-premises environments, primarily AWS.

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with Ansible and Terraform for automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong Unix/Linux administration experience.
• Experience managing Elasticsearch clusters and log management/analysis.
• Experience with infrastructure and application monitoring tools, including:
• AWS CloudWatch
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• Zabbix
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, particularly AWS EKS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting experience across network, system, and application layers.
• Experience planning and implementing on-premises-to-cloud migrations.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to identify integration requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Ability to operate in environments where high availability, performance, and minimising business disruption are important.
• Strong hands-on engineering capability rather than purely theoretical/cloud architectural knowledge.
