Senior Engineering Manager - Integration

We are seeking a passionate and tech-savvy Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend services that power ZoomInfo's core products and platforms. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer with a deep understanding of modern server-side technologies, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. They possess strong skills in building modular, maintainable, and scalable backend services with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and security, combined with a strong sense of ownership, ambiguity tolerance, speed of execution, and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services capable of handling millions of requests daily.
• Work with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js to build and optimize backend applications.
• Manage and optimize data storage solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient and reliable data access.
• Build and operate event-driven systems and real-time processing pipelines using Kafka and streaming technologies.
• Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services in cloud environments.
• Utilize RESTful APIs and other communication protocols for seamless integration.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high-quality standards across the codebase.
• Mentor junior engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional teams to solve complex and intriguing problems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our technology stack, CI/CD pipelines, and development processes.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (post B. E. degree or equivalent).
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in working with both SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Experience with Kafka or similar data streaming platforms.
• Experience building and deploying scalable SaaS applications in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous processing.
• A strong sense of ownership, growth mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and intellectual curiosity.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and mentor junior engineers.
• A drive to find pragmatic, innovative solutions to technical challenges with a strong bias for action and speed of execution.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Python.
• Experience building LLM-powered applications or AI agents or using evaluation platforms like LangSmith.
• Experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in SaaS, B2B, sales intelligence, marketing technology, or data products.
