About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team. This is a remote role based out of Madrid, Spain, reporting to the Senior Sales Engineering Manager in the Solutions Consulting department. In this role, you will serve as the technical pivot point for our sales process, presenting the Zscaler cloud security platform to prospective customers and translating their business goals into enticing, high-impact recommendations. As a trusted advisor, you will guide clients through their digital transformation journeys, gathering technical requirements and driving proof-of-concept engagements, presentations, and custom demonstrations that clearly articulate our value proposition while collaborating closely with Account Executives and cross-functional teams to shape comprehensive account strategies.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Present the Zscaler cloud security platform to prospective customers to demonstrate clear business value
• Set the technical vision and translate customer goals into enticing, relevant recommendations
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding and aiding them through their transformational security journey
• Gather customer technical requirements and promote the value proposition through presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements
• Partner closely with Account Executives, cross-functional specialists, and extended teams to shape strategic account plans

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems Integrator
• Deep knowledge of enterprise network or cloud security technologies
• Proven experience working with Value Selling Methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to produce high-impact presentations, technical demonstrations, and partner with sales teams to deliver proof-of-concept engagements
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience demonstrating or positioning AI-powered threat detection, predictive security analytics, or AI-driven data protection features to enterprise clients
• Cloud Platform or other relevant industry certifications such as CISSP or CCNP, alongside domain expertise in SASE, Identity, Proxy technology, Cybersecurity, DLP, CASB, or CNAPP
• Professional fluency in English combined with a proven track record of supporting and winning large enterprise accounts

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and determined by role and level. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base salaries for this position across all Spain locations. Individual pay placement within this range is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including job-related skills, relevant experience, and education or training. The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/bonus/equity (if applicable) and benefits.

Base Pay Range

€63.000—€90.000 EUR
