Role  

We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid (3 days / week) role, reporting to the Director, Software Development Engineering in the AI Security department.

The engineer will own features end-to-end across the full stack, from React UI to Spring Boot microservices to cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes. 

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Build full-stack features across React UI, Spring Boot microservices, and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes
• Design REST APIs and event-driven Kafka services within a microservices architecture
• Own features end-to-end, including logging, observability, and cross-functional collaboration with UX and PM

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
• 5+ years of software development experience building enterprise-grade solutions
• Proficiency in Java with Spring Boot; strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with ReactJS and state management libraries
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs in a microservices architecture
• Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms
• Familiarity with containerized deployments on Kubernetes and core AWS services

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience developing security guardrails, secure coding practices, or observability features for AI/ML orchestration layers and LLM applications
• Experience building enterprise-grade security or networking products using PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch
• Unit testing experience with React Testing Library, Jest, or Mocha, alongside familiarity with modern JS build tooling such as Webpack or Vite
