Product Manager (Technology)

Purpose of the Role:

The candidate will be joining Zuellig Pharma’s Group Technology as a Product Associate/Manager within the E-Commerce and Data Services (EDS) team. Operating as a strategic internal service provider, our team partners with business units to define, design, and deliver advanced data, BI, and AI products that solve critical commercial and distribution challenges. Our primary technology and data ecosystem is built on Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, Gemini, BigQuery), Looker, and PowerBI.

As a Product Associate/Manager, you will serve as the crucial bridge and orchestrator, not only between commercial business units and technical delivery teams but also within our own EDS teams. The business defines their growth and operational challenges; you will translate these opportunities into viable digital and data products, defining the product vision and guiding its delivery. You will collaborate daily with our Data Analytics Leads, Data Engineers, Product Engineers, and Technical Operations specialists to ensure the seamless development, launch, and long-term adoption of our data and e-commerce solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Consultative Product Discovery & Stakeholder Management

• Business-to-Product Translation: Act as the primary product liaison for core commercial business units, digital commerce squads, and regional enabling functions. Deeply understand their business challenges (e.g., market access, supply chain efficiency, customer engagement) and translate them into actionable product definitions, user personas, and feature roadmaps.
• Discovery & Roadmap Scoping: Facilitate collaborative discovery workshops to gather requirements, assess commercial viability, map user journeys, and build robust business cases for new data, BI, and AI initiative deployments.

Product Lifecycle Leadership

• App & Data Productization: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle-from initial concept to user adoption ensuring they provide intuitive, scalable, and value-driven insights for operational and regional leadership.
• AI Feature/Agentic Solutions: Drive the product roadmap, functional specifications, and user experience definition for Generative AI applications, specifically utilizing Google Cloud’s Vertex AI and Gemini ecosystems.
• Scoping & Validation: Guide the scoping and validation of rapid Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to prove technical feasibility, validate user experience, and track business ROI before committing resources to full production scaling.

Internal Cross-Functional Agile Orchestration

• Technical Footprint Alignment: Partner closely with Engineering & Data Leads to ensure product roadmaps align with technical viability, security protocols, and system architecture.
• Backlog Management for Engineering: Formulate and manage clear product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Engineering teams to ensure timely deployments
• Operational Readiness: Coordinate with the Technical Operations team during release planning to ensure standard monitoring, transition-to-support protocols, and operational handovers are completed seamlessly.

Product Delivery & Vendor Governance

• Product Ownership: Drive end-to-end sprint planning, sprint reviews, and agile ceremonies as the definitive Product Owner, maintaining momentum throughout the entire software and data development lifecycle.
• Vendor Alignment & Delivery Governance: Act as the primary product owner when collaborating with external vendors and integration partners, managing their delivery sprints against product specifications, timelines, and business requirements.

Product Compliance & Data Governance Productization

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensure all digital and data products adhere to strict data governance frameworks, data quality standards, security baselines, and healthcare industry regulations.
• Standardized Product Tracking: Ensure BI products developed on Looker/PowerBI accurately map complex distribution pathways, enabling automated compliance tracking, real-time product auditing, and auditable data governance frameworks.

What will make you successful:

Must-Have:

• Undergraduate degree in Business Admin, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or relevant field.
• Professional Experience:
  • For Associate level: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or technology consulting.
  • For Manager level: Minimum of 5+ years of experience, with a significant track record of product ownership, ideally within or serving the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or B2B e-commerce industry.
• Proven experience operating as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile/Scrum environment, with hands-on proficiency in managing product backlogs and release cycles via Jira and Confluence. CSPO Certification is preferred
• Familiarity with data architectures, SQL, and enterprise BI platforms (Looker and PowerBI), enabling you to confidently translate complex data requirements into business-friendly reporting designs.
• AI Product Familiarity: Conceptual understanding of modern cloud ecosystems (such as GCP, BigQuery) and machine learning capabilities. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., Gemini, Vertex AI) is highly desired to effectively shape product features. Familiarity with LLM productization paradigms (e.g., prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows) to easily collaborate with AI developers and build business use cases.

• Exceptional interpersonal and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relations, present product visions clearly to business leaders, and translate requirements into precise specs for engineering teams.
