Overview
AHRC NYC is a family-governed nonprofit in New York City that supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, Down syndrome and cerebral palsy, through residential, day, employment, clinical and educational services. Founded in 1949 by parents, it runs group homes and intermediate care facilities, special education schools and early learning centers such as Blue Feather, Howard Haber and Staten Island Preparatory, and work readiness programs across all five boroughs.
