Overview
Andi is a conversational search assistant for consumers that answers questions with summarised, cited results instead of a list of links. It combines large language models with live retrieval of web results, uses separate systems for verticals such as factual knowledge, programming and consumer health, and does not log searches or collect personal data. The company was founded in 2021 by Angela Hoover and Jed White, went through Y Combinator in the Winter 2022 batch and raised about 2.5 million dollars from investors including Gaingels, Goodwater Capital and Y Combinator.
