Overview
Kagi builds a paid, ad-free and private search engine for consumers, together with the Orion web browser and a set of AI tools. Its search combines its own indexes with other sources and lets members rank, block or boost websites, and the product line also includes Kagi Assistant, Summarizer, Translate, News, Small Web, FastGPT and a Search API. Founded in 2018 by Vladimir Prelovac in Palo Alto and launched publicly in 2022, it is a public benefit corporation of about 40 remote staff funded by its founder and by about 2.5 million dollars from community angel investors.
