Overview
Epirus is a US defense technology company in Torrance, California, that develops software-defined, solid-state high-power microwave systems for counter-drone and counter-electronics missions. Its flagship Leonidas family is designed to disable drone swarms at a far lower cost per engagement than kinetic interceptors, and the company opened a corporate headquarters and production facility of more than 100,000 square feet in Torrance in 2021. It hires FPGA, systems integration, test, harness design and manufacturing engineers, alongside supply chain, trade compliance, program management and field service staff.
