Founded in 1976 by Irving and Melvin Schottenstein, it has built homes for more than 170,000 homeowners, is listed on the New York Stock Exchange and operates divisions in markets including Austin, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Orlando, Raleigh and Tampa.
