planqc is a deep-tech quantum computing hardware enterprise headquartered in Garching (near Munich), Germany. Founded in 2022 by Dr. Alexander Glätzle, Dr. Sebastian Blatt, Dr. Johannes Zeiher, and Lukas Reichsöllner as the first commercial spin-off from the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (MPQ) and LMU Munich within the Munich Quantum Valley initiative, the venture has raised over €80 million in total funding and major government contracts from investors including CATRON Holding, DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF), UVC Partners, Speedinvest, and Amadeus Capital.
