Overview
WazirX is an Indian cryptocurrency exchange that lets users buy, sell and trade bitcoin, ether and hundreds of other digital assets against the Indian rupee and stablecoins, and offers a peer-to-peer trading service. Founded in 2017 by Nischal Shetty, Siddharth Menon and Sameer Mhatre, it suffered a major hack of its multisignature wallet in July 2024 and later went through a restructuring of its Singapore parent Zettai. The company is headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
