Visa sponsor data matched to employers and their open jobs

Alion matches four public visa registers to the employers in its graph: the UK Home Office register of licensed sponsors, the US Department of Labor H-1B (LCA) and green card (PERM) disclosure data, Canada's positive LMIA decisions and the Dutch IND register of recognised sponsors. 14,284 companies carry a match scored 80 or more, and every open job at them carries a sponsorship verdict.

What a match holds

  • The register entry: licence routes and rating (UK), H-1B and green card filings in 12 and 24 months with the median offered wage (US), LMIA positions approved in 12 months (Canada), recognised sponsor status (Netherlands)
  • Filings by role sphere, from the occupation codes of each US and Canadian filing
  • Flags: IT services firms that sponsor their own consultants, US universities outside the H-1B cap
  • The confidence of the match and when it was checked

How it is matched

By legal entity, trading name, town and domain, with a score per match. Matches scored 80 or more are published; weaker ones wait for a person to review them. A trading-name match to a franchise brand is never published automatically.

Questions

How often are the registers reloaded?

When their publishers update them: the US and UK files weekly, Canada every quarter.

Does a match mean a job is sponsored?

No. It means the employer can sponsor or has sponsored. Adverts that say so outright are marked separately, and adverts that refuse sponsorship are never counted as sponsored.
