JOB PURPOSE
To coordinate and supervise daily finance and accounting activities, review financial transactions and reports, ensure accurate reconciliations and proper documentation, and monitor compliance with established financial policies and procedures. The position supports budgeting, cash flow monitoring, financial reporting, and audit activities under the guidance of the Finance Manager while supervising accounting staff to ensure efficient and timely execution of finance operations.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and supervise daily accounting and finance activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
- Review journal entries, payment requests, bank reconciliations, and supporting documents.
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash balances, and outstanding transactions, reporting significant issues to the line Manager.
- Ensure proper implementation of financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
- Monitor compliance with applicable tax regulations and coordinate the timely preparation of tax filings.
- Supervise and guide accounting staff, and review their work for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate audit activities, provide supporting documentation, and follow up on audit findings.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain proper financial records and ensure supporting documents are complete and readily available.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve routine financial and accounting issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- BA in Accounting & Finance or Related field
- Minimum 5 years of Experience in finance and accounting, preferably including supervisory responsibilities.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, manage deadlines, and coordinate multiple financial activities
