Join Action as a Product Data Analyst and help ensure that our product data is accurate, reliable, and ready to support our business operations.

  • Zwaagdijk-Oost, Perenmarkt 15

Fulltime (38 hours per week)

As a Product Data Analyst within our Data Management department, you’ll play an important role in ensuring that our product data is accurate, complete, and reliable. You’ll analyse data quality issues, identify inconsistencies and their root causes, and work with colleagues across the business to find practical solutions.

You’ll combine your analytical skills with a good understanding of business processes to improve the way product data is managed and used. You’ll work closely with teams such as Buying, Supply Chain, Finance, IT and Data Management to understand issues, improve data quality, and prevent recurring problems.

This is your daily action

  • Monitor and analyse product data quality to ensure data is accurate, complete, consistent, and aligned with business requirements.
  • Analyse product data and data flows between systems to identify discrepancies, missing information, incorrect records, and potential data quality risks.
  • Investigate the root causes of data quality issues by understanding the underlying business processes, identifying where errors originate, and coordinating appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain, validate, and improve key article data across relevant business systems to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Perform data cleansing and correction activities, including mass data corrections, to improve data accuracy and consistency.
  • Identify recurring data issues, analyse patterns and trends, and translate findings into practical improvements to prevent future errors.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Data Management, IT, and other business departments to understand data-related challenges, resolve discrepancies, and improve data processes.
  • Maintain and analyse data quality reports, dashboards, and documentation to monitor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support business decision-making.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of data quality rules, controls, and procedures, ensuring they reflect business needs and internal standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product data management processes, helping strengthen data reliability and operational efficiency across the organisation.

This is your team

The Process Improvement team is part of the Process Development and Support department in the supply chain and consists of Process Managers and Process Experts, each with their own expertise. We have Process Experts for Inbound, Supply Chain Planning, Warehouse, Outbound, and Transport. As a team, you ensure that Action's supply chain runs as smoothly as possible, so that hundreds of thousands of products reach our 3000+ stores every day. Being able to optimize the process is what keeps us motivated and enthusiastic!

This is you

This is a role for someone who enjoys working with data from a business perspective: understanding what the data means, why it matters, and how better data can improve processes and decision-making.

In addition:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or in Business IT & Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • You have 1–3 years of relevant experience in product data, data management, data quality, or a similar analytical role.
  • You have strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and work with macros.
  • You have an affinity for working with data and systems. Experience with SAP, Databricks.
  • You are able to analyse data, identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • You work in a structured and organised way, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • You take ownership of your responsibilities, work independently, and ensure that deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • You communicate effectively and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders across departments, including Supply Chain, Finance, Commerce, Operations, and IT.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, wholesale and distribution, or manufacturing is a plus.
  • You communicate fluently in English, both written and verbally. Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

What we offer

From our international headquarters in the Netherlands, you have an impact on what happens in our stores across Europe. We have great growth ambitions — for Action, and for you. Because our growth means you can always take new steps: a different position, an interesting innovation project, new skills — you can continue to develop as a professional.

Did you know that you can also count on us for:

  • 24 vacation days with the option to purchase 5 additional days (based on 38 hours)
  • Hybrid working policy and flexible working hours (minimum 3 days in office) in consultation with your team
  • 15% staff discount in Action stores
  • Shuttle bus to and from Hoorn station & International HQ
  • Mobility allowance and a pension scheme (Zwaagdijk-Oost is easily accessible, only 30 minutes from Amsterdam - without traffic!)
