Staff Software Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

Join Airbnb's Cloud Infrastructure team as a Staff Software Engineer. You will be responsible for developing and operating the foundational platforms and cloud environment that power Airbnb. Your primary focus will be on operations and delivery of components such as developer APIs, Kubernetes infrastructure, autoscaling and capacity management tools, and cloud infrastructure automation. You will collaborate with a diverse team of talented infrastructure engineers and have the opportunity to make an impact on the industry and open source communities.

Profil recherché

- A full-cycle developer mentality with strong ownership and experience in building and operating high-scale, distributed systems throughout the software life cycle

- A passion for efficiency, availability, reliability, and overall system quality

- Strong problem-solving abilities and solid production debugging skills

- Proven track record in developing and operating large-scale technical projects in collaboration with experienced engineers

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

- Expertise with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings (e.g., EC2)

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within and across engineering teams

- 10+ years of experience years of industry experience with a BS/Masters and 2+ years with a PhD, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience
