Our client, a growing US proptech company, is hiring a Full-Stack Engineer to join the team in New York. The successful candidate will collaborate with product, operations and leadership teams to develop platform features, take ownership of projects from initial design through to delivery and help shape the technical architecture and engineering culture.

Responsibilities

  • Build full-stack functionality that helps renters secure housing and supports landlords in increasing occupancy.

  • Develop and scale backend systems using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.

  • Deliver and enhance customer-facing applications with React, JavaScript and TypeScript.

  • Manage features end to end, covering backend logic, API development and frontend delivery.

  • Work with product and leadership teams to define roadmap priorities, technical architecture and system design.

  • Strengthen platform reliability, optimize application performance and improve development workflows.

  • Help establish engineering best practices and guide technical decisions to support future growth.

Skillset

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong command of Ruby on Rails.

  • Proven experience building frontend applications with React and JavaScript.

  • Comfortable working across backend development, frontend applications and infrastructure.

  • A degree in computer science or an equivalent engineering background.

  • Able to work independently, take initiative and own delivery in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn changing requirements into effective solutions.
