When you join us, you’ll be part of a global team harnessing the power of scientific testing and data-driven insights to build a healthier future.

The Role

ALS is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the design, development and implementation of a new application that will manage the Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) process across multiple countries.

Working closely with procurement, finance, operations, IT and external vendors, you will gather requirements, map business processes, support system integrations and coordinate testing activities. This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who enjoys working across complex, multi-system environments and bridging the gap between business and technical teams.

The day to day

  • Gather and document business and functional requirements across procurement, finance, operations and IT teams.
  • Analyse current PR-to-PO processes and support the design of future-state solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and resolve issues.
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps and functional documentation.
  • Support integration requirements between the new application, ERP platforms and vendor systems.
  • Document business rules, data requirements, field mappings and exception scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain requirements, process, testing and project documentation.
  • Create and execute test scenarios and support functional, integration and UAT testing activities.
  • Coordinate defect management, issue resolution and requirements traceability.
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple countries to support implementation and post-go-live activities.

The essentials

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Proven ability to map business processes and translate them into system requirements.
  • Hands-on experience developing and executing test scenarios, test scripts and UAT activities.
  • Experience supporting system integrations and enterprise application projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
  • Experience managing requirements traceability, defect resolution and testing outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and documentation capability.
  • Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed and cross-functional teams.

Highly regarded

  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, PR, PO or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
  • Experience working within multi-ERP or ERP-agnostic environments.
  • Experience supporting API, integration, EDI, middleware or B2B vendor integration projects.
  • Experience working on custom application development projects.
  • Experience supporting multi-country technology implementations.
  • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile or structured SDLC methodologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Visio, SharePoint, Excel or similar tools.
