[GLB/SNB] Java Developer (Backbase)

We are looking for a Backbase Java Developer to support the delivery of projects based on the Backbase platform for international clients in the financial sector. If you value modern technologies and high-quality code, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

• have at least 4 years of commercial experience in Java development,
• have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience working on projects based on the Backbase platform,
• have participated in at least one implementation or enhancement of a production Backbase solution,
• have very good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and Maven,
• have experience in designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs,
• have a solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience working in a microservices-based environment,
• have experience with Backbase Identity and authorization, permissions, and entitlements mechanisms,
• are familiar with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT standards,
• have worked with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift,
• have experience integrating applications with banking systems,
• can analyze application logs, diagnose integration issues, and resolve problems occurring in production environments,
• have very good English communication skills (minimum B2 level).

Nice to have:

• Get Backbase Certified - Backend certification,
• experience working on projects in the banking sector,
• experience using AI tools to support software development, documentation creation, and related activities,
• experience building modern user interfaces powered by large language models (LLMs).

Requirements

• develop and maintain backend components of the Backbase platform,
• design, implement, and enhance services and microservices using Java and Spring Boot,
• create and integrate REST APIs with internal and external systems,
• deliver integrations with banking systems in accordance with business and technical requirements,
• configure and develop solutions related to Backbase Identity, authorization, and user access management,
• participate in the design of solution architectures based on the Backbase platform,
• support application deployment processes in environments based on Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift,
• monitor application performance and diagnose and resolve issues occurring in test and production environments,
• collaborate with analysts, architects, frontend teams, and business stakeholders,
• participate in code reviews and ensure the quality, performance, and security of delivered solutions,
• prepare technical documentation and support the development of software engineering best practices within the team,
• actively contribute to the development and optimization of digital banking solutions built on the Backbase platform.
