Amazon is an American technology and retail conglomerate founded by Jeff Bezos in 1994 as an online bookstore and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. It operates the world's largest online marketplace together with a global logistics network, physical grocery stores and a third-party seller platform that accounts for most units sold. Amazon Web Services, launched in 2006, is the leading public cloud provider and generates the majority of the group's operating profit, while advertising, Prime Video, Alexa devices and Kuiper satellite broadband round out the business.

Are you passionate about helping organizations transform their technology landscape through cloud adoption? As a Delivery Consultant within Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services, you will work directly with customers to design, architect, and implement cloud solutions that solve real business challenges. You will combine technical depth with consulting expertise to guide customers through their cloud journey, translating complex requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of technical domains and customer engagements, giving you exposure to modern architectures, emerging technologies, and meaningful problem-solving at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to technical strategy, and help customers realize measurable outcomes from their cloud investments.

Key job responsibilities

- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions tailored to customer requirements, applying best practices in cloud architecture, system design, and modern development methodologies.

- Collaborate with customer stakeholders to assess current-state maturity, gather technical and business requirements, and define solutions that address complex challenges from presales through delivery.

- Provide technical guidance and prescriptive recommendations throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful engagement outcomes.

- Contribute to reusable technical content such as reference architectures, whitepapers, and code samples that drive efficiency and innovation across customer engagements.

- Mentor and support team members, participate in recruitment efforts, and share knowledge across teams to strengthen collective technical capabilities.

A day in the life

You will start your day reviewing engagement progress and aligning with your project team on priorities. Much of your time is spent working hands-on with customers, whether leading architecture design sessions, building proof-of-concept solutions, or troubleshooting technical challenges in real time. You will regularly partner with internal specialists and AWS service teams to evaluate new approaches and refine solutions. Between customer interactions, you may contribute to technical documentation, explore emerging AWS capabilities including generative artificial intelligence tools, or participate in community knowledge-sharing sessions.
