About the role

You'll join a passionate, cross-functional product squad where engineers, product managers, and designers collaborate to solve meaningful customer problems. As Tech Lead, you'll play a key role in guiding the technical direction of the squad while remaining hands-on in development. You'll also help the team adopt AI-enabled engineering and product development practices responsibly, ensuring AI accelerates delivery while the team maintains ownership, quality, and accountability for the solutions it builds.

What you'll be doing
- Lead the technical direction of your product squad while contributing hands-on to software development.
- Guide architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices across the team.
- Build scalable, reliable, and secure software that delivers business value.
- Partner closely with Product Managers to balance technical excellence with business priorities.
- Mentor and support fellow engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Engineering Managers, and other Tech Leads to continuously improve our engineering practices.
- Champion AI-enabled software engineering practices, fostering a culture where AI is used to accelerate delivery and innovation, while ensuring the team remains accountable for engineering excellence, product quality, and customer outcomes.
What we're looking for
- Experience as a Tech Lead, or similar technical leadership role.
- Strong software architecture and system design experience.
- Experience building scalable cloud-based (preferably AWS) and distributed systems.
- Experience working with .NET and C#, relational and No-SQL databases
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven systems.
- A passion for software craftsmanship and the judgment to make pragmatic technical decisions that balance maintainability, quality, delivery speed, and business value.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience mentoring and coaching other engineers.
- A pragmatic and responsible approach to GenAI, understanding its limitations and risks, and actively establishing guardrails (e.g. reviews, testing, and policies) to ensure safe, compliant, and scalable use in production environments.
- Experience working in agile product teams.
