It is the main brand of ASX-listed BOQ Group, which also includes ME Bank, Virgin Money Australia and BOQ Specialist, and it traces its origins to a Brisbane building society founded in 1874, with branches across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. The group hires lending specialists, branch managers and customer service officers, business development managers, financial crime analysts, remediation managers and marketing staff.

About the Role

We're looking for a Data Analytics Specialist to join our team and help drive data-led decision making across the business. You'll play a key role in delivering meaningful insights, developing reporting solutions, and supporting stakeholders with accurate and timely analysis that improves business performance.

Working closely with leaders and cross-functional teams, you'll analyse complex data sets, develop dashboards and reporting, identify trends and opportunities, and provide recommendations that influence strategic and operational outcomes. You'll also support forecasting, budgeting, process improvement initiatives, and the ongoing enhancement of data quality and reporting capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, uncovering insights through data, and making a tangible impact on business performance.

About You

You are a naturally curious and analytical professional who enjoys turning data into actionable insights. You have experience working with large datasets, developing meaningful reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to support informed decision making.

You bring strong technical capability across reporting and analytics tools and can confidently translate complex information into clear, concise recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, finance or a related discipline.
  • Strong skills in Power BI, SQL and advanced Excel.
  • Experience analysing large datasets and identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
  • A high level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for solving business problems through data.

You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where curiosity, initiative and a customer-focused approach are highly valued.
