About the role
As a Technical Solution Engineer (Level 2) at Cashfree, you are the bridge between our L1/L2 support teams and Engineering, turning complex merchant issues into clear, actionable fixes. You own complex technical issues and engineering bugs through to resolution within defined SLAs, and you work as part of engineering sprints to build internal tools and product features that feed into the product roadmap. This role suits someone who enjoys debugging production issues as much as writing the code that prevents them.
Your Opportunity
Work closely with customers to understand their most critical business problems and propose the right solutions.
Be the go-to technical expert for Engineering, Sales and Customer teams when deployment challenges come up.
Review problem logs, spot recurring issues and help fix them for good.
Take ownership of reported technical issues and see them through to resolution.
Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with cross-functional teams, including product and engineering teams to find ways to improve the product and drive high-quality production.
Maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides and mentor L1 engineers
Requirements
2+ years of experience
Knowledge of Unix/Linux-based systems.
Hands-on experience with Java.
Experience writing SQL queries to pull data for debugging.
Strong analytical and logical thinking.
Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
A creative approach to finding and building solutions.
Good to have: experience with monitoring tools (Kibana, Grafana, Datadog), payments or fintech integrations, and micro services.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end development of banking and financial institution integrations into the Cashfree product suite.
Build custom solutions, APIs and dashboards for internal and external teams to improve how we operate.
Act as the technical expert for Engineering, Sales and Customer teams to resolve technical challenges.
Be the voice of developers and merchants, and help shape the product roadmap to improve their experience.
