Join our team as a Software Engineer, where you will design and build high-performance, distributed systems for regulatory surveillance of trading data. You will work with technologies such as Java, Python, Snowflake, Kafka, and Linux, and leverage AI tools to enhance productivity. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with end-users, producing project documentation, developing scalable data processing pipelines, optimizing system performance, and providing ongoing application support. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, experience in high-performance or distributed systems, and proficiency in Java and Python.
Missions
- Design and build high-performance, distributed systems that process and analyze massive streams of trading data for regulatory surveillance.
- Develop scalable data pipelines, implement complex rules engines, and optimize relational and Snowflake databases for large-scale workloads.
- Collaborate with end-users to gather and refine functional requirements for complex, data-driven systems, and produce detailed project documentation.
Profil recherché
- The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, deep knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and experience building systems that handle billions of events daily in low-latency environments- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization techniques
- Ability to design and implement scalable, low-latency systems handling billions of events daily
- Familiarity with streaming and big data technologies such as Apache Kafka a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Anthropic's Claude for productivity and building agentic/LLM-powered workflows
- Strong proficiency in Java and Python for backend development
- Experience in finance, trading, exchange, or related fields is a plus
- Experience with Linux environments and at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Shell)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 2+ years of software engineering experience in high-performance or distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Snowflake for large-scale data processing
