Job description
- Assess individual life insurance applications according to underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
- Review medical and financial information and determine appropriate underwriting decisions.
- Refer cases exceeding delegated authority to Senior Underwriters or Reinsurance.
- Coordinate with Sales, Medical Network, Operations, and Reinsurance on underwriting cases.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of underwriting decisions.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree inpharmacy, dentist, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, preferably in Individual Life.
- Basic understanding of life insurance products and underwriting principles.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and common medical conditions.
- Good analytical and decision-making skills.
- Good English communication skills.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
