The Claims Service Coordinator primary duties surround processing manufacturer warranty claims for the dealership's service department. This role reviews warranty repairs jobs in the dealership's DMS (dealer management software) and submits the required warranty claim information through the manufacturer's website to obtain repair approval and reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Review/transcribewarranty-eligible repairs repair jobs in the DMS intothe manufacturerswarranty portal.
- Enter repair details (labor, parts, diagnosis findings, and repair narrative) into the manufacturer's warranty portal.
- Submit warranty claims and track them through approval, follow-up, and payment.
- Follow up on denied, rejected, or held claims and resubmit with corrected or additional information.
- Keep warranty claim records in the DMS up to date.
- Communicate with service staff to clarify repair details as needed.
- Stay current on manufacturer warranty policies, bulletins, and claim submission requirements.
- Similar administra.tive duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills (Outlook email, Excel, Efficiently navigate software in general)
- Good written communication skills for claim narratives.
