Data Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled Data Engineer. As a Data Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building, scaling and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures that power analytics and data products across global Gaming operations. You’ll focus on engineering excellence, modern data practices and reliable data delivery, working closely with Analytics Engineers and other stakeholders.

You will be joining a fast-growing GameTech project, among the largest and most innovative in the world, active in 19 international markets and counting. Our partner offers a wide range of digital entertainment services to millions of users and is known for continuously investing in cutting-edge technologies. The team is diverse, multinational, and driven by a strong vision for inclusive growth, with operations across three continents and a workforce of over 2,700 professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and optimize data ingestion processes (ingest & export) across multiple data sources.
• Build and maintain the Data Hub that supports the broader market use cases.
• Implement modern data architectures (e.g., Medallion architecture).
• Work with modern table formats such as Delta Lake or Iceberg.
• Develop robust data transformation and reconsolidation workflows.
• Ensure data reliability through monitoring, testing, and handling discrepancies.
• Operationalize data pipelines and ensure production readiness.
• Apply engineering standards and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Optimize performance and scalability of data systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven use cases.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar role.
• Strong experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid understanding of data engineering fundamentals and modern architectures.
• Experience with ingestion patterns, data transformations, and pipeline design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and practical engineering mindset.
• Experience with monitoring, testing, and data quality practices.
• Experience handling data discrepancies and ensuring data consistency.
• Good understanding of version control and collaborative development.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with Medallion architecture and lakehouse concepts.
• Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or similar table formats.
• Exposure to GitOps and CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of streaming or real-time data pipelines.
• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
