Project Manager

We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our FinTech project and lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology and business transformation initiatives. The role involves managing scope, budget, timelines, stakeholders, risks, and project teams to ensure successful business outcomes.

Our FinTech project is the second-largest Greek bank by total assets and the largest by market capitalization of €2.13 billion. It has a subsidiary and branch in London, England and subsidiaries in Albania, Cyprus and Romania.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT projects within the public sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional project teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
• Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials and contractors.
• Develop detailed project plans, monitor project progress against milestones and deadlines, identify potential risks and issues and propose corrective actions as needed.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to define and document business needs into clear and concise functional specifications for development teams.
• Produce high-quality reports and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote a collaborative and productive team environment.

Required Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of proven experience in managing IT projects.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Trustworthy and discreet, with the capability to work effectively in a politically sensitive environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or Agile/Scrum certification).
• Experience with public procurement procedures and government tender processes.
• Knowledge of EU-funded projects and regulatory frameworks (e.g., ESIF, RRF, or Digital Europe Programme).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and modern enterprise IT architectures.
