ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support and coordinate night shift operations necessary to attain successful order fulfillment on time, meeting quality requirements and cost targets.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams during the night shift to ensure smooth production flow and issue resolution.

  • Ensure execution of production plans to meet daily, weekly, and quarterly throughput results aligned with capacity targets and overall operational requirements.

  • Support the delivery of quality products consistently and drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing technology and process control that contribute to increased efficiency and productivity for night shift operations.

Production Operations & Performance Management

  • Supervise night shift production activities to ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and quarterly production targets, throughput requirements, and on-time order fulfillment.

  • Coordinate Manpower, Materials, Equipment, and resources to optimize productivity and operational efficiency.

  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) including output, productivity, scrap, downtime, quality, and safety performance.

  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and cost efficiency.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Lead, coach, and develop production personnel to maintain a high-performing and engaged workforce.

  • Assign work, monitor employee performance, and provide ongoing feedback and training.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and timely resolution of operational issues.

  • Facilitate effective communication during shift handovers and across functional teams.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with product quality standards, specifications, and manufacturing procedures.

  • Drive a culture of Zero Defects by supporting process controls, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

  • Utilize quality and continuous improvement tools such as 8D, FMEA, Control Plans, OCAP, DMAIC, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Support initiatives that improve manufacturing processes, technology, productivity, and process control.

Problem Solving & Equipment Coordination

  • Address production issues, equipment concerns, and operational challenges to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

  • Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, preventive maintenance completion, and timely repairs.

  • Escalate critical operational, quality, or safety concerns as necessary.

Compliance, Documentation, Safety & Security

  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and operational documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.

  • Promote and enforce workplace safety, conduct routine inspections, and participate in incident investigations.

  • Conduct building security rounds, enforce company rules and regulations, and manage safety, security, and emergency incidents during the assigned shift.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role related to high precision, high mix machine shop environment.

Experience :

At least six (6) years of work experience in manufacturing company with mechanical assemblies and at least three (3) years of supervisory level or lead role. Preferably with Manufacturing Engineering experience.

Skill/ Technical Requirements :

Computer literate in MS Office applications.

Familiar with ISO 9001 as well as appropriate statistical tools.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control procedures.

Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge in data analytics, statistics, knowledge in LSS, MS Office.

Working knowledge of SPC and DOE.

Must possess advanced documentation knowledge and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment.

Requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities. Familiarity with safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.

Excellent communication skills to interact with employees, management, and other departments.
