ServiceNow Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary.
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow LeadDeveloper to design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform capabilities, follow best practices, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions using best practices
Customize ServiceNow applications using Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, and Flow Designerwith advanceLevelcoding skills.
Develop and maintain ServiceNow modules such as ÏTSM, CSM,APO,MCO,Finance Management,Employee Centre.
Build and support integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Server, and IntegrationHub
Create and manage Service Catalogitems, workflows,FlowDesingerand ETL, Integration Hub, DataFabric/Zero Copy Connectors
Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of platform issues
Support platform upgrades, patches, and releases
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements
Follow SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and change management processes
Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles
Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
Strong experience with JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIsand integrations
(server-side and client-side)
In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture
Experience with Finance Managementand MCO processes (Source-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash lifecycle, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable etc)
Familiarity with CMDB, Discovery, and ITSM
Experience with otherApplication would be plus likeITOM, HRSD.
Understanding of ACLs, roles, and security best practices
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
referred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications such as:
Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Module-specific certifications (CSM, ITSM,MCOetc.)
Experience with ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting
Knowledge of UI Builder, Service Portal, and Workspace configuration
Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and ATF (Automated Test Framework)
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong stakeholder management skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Min 7+ Years of experience in Servicenow
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, SAP)
Knowledge of ITIL processes
Experience supporting global enterprise environments
