Job Title: Assistant Maintenance Engineer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Lead Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

• We seek a competent and proactive Assistant Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, reliability, and efficient operation of quarry equipment and machinery.
• The successful candidate will assist in preventive and corrective maintenance, minimize equipment downtime, ensure spare parts availability, and promote safe maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify recurring equipment faults and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
• Monitor equipment performance, availability, and downtime.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and safe maintenance procedures.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, diagnose faults, and support breakdown repairs.
• Coordinate spare parts requirements and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Support maintenance planning, scheduling, and technical supervision of maintenance personnel.
• Support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of quarry equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' post-NYSC relevant maintenance experience.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of HSE principles and relevant regulations.
• B.Sc./B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance.
• Experience in quarrying, mining, manufacturing, construction, or other equipment-intensive industries is an advantage.
