We are looking for a Data Platforms & Analytics Section Manager who will develop, manage, and optimize an integrated data ecosystem covering data platforms, engineering pipelines, and advanced analytics solutions. Ensures the acquisition, storage, preparation, and delivery of corporate data while driving data-driven decision-making across the organization through analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and cross-functional collaboration - all within the Data Management Framework.

What will you do:

• Data Platforms Management & Optimization: Operates, manages, and continuously optimizes data platforms and relevant integration mechanisms, including big data, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and peripheral tools
• New Platforms & Architecture Design: Defines specifications and implements new data platforms. Designs integration architectures and implements architectural solutions pertaining to Data Platforms and peripheral applications
• Analytics Strategy & Innovation: Proposes and implements advanced analytics methodologies - including statistical modeling, optimization, and automation - to support business decision-making and process efficiencies
• Advanced Modeling & AI Integration: Develops statistical and optimization models and explores AI/ML applications to solve business challenges, drive innovation, and support operational and strategic decision-making
• Standardization & Best Practices: Establishes and updates standards for both data platforms and analytics projects, ensuring consistency, data integrity, reusability of components, and adherence to the Data Management Framework
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Requirements: Works closely with business stakeholders and concerned business units to define analytics, reporting, automation, and database requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Visualization, Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Utilizes BI and visualization tools to present results and insights. Develops data validation reports and scorecards based on defined KPIs. Monitors KPIs relevant to both platform performance and analytics outcomes

• Capability Development & Knowledge Sharing: Supports analytics and data engineering teams within business units, providing guidance, training, and expertise to strengthen analytical and data skills across the organization
• People & Administrative Duties Management: Provides clear team leadership, fostering a positive and collaborative culture. Oversees day-to-day people management including schedules, attendance, leave, performance, HR policies, procurement processes, and administrative processes
• Cost / Budget Management: Responsible for monitoring and managing team expenditure in line with approved budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and cost-effectively

What you need to be successful:

• A B.Sc in Computer Science/Information Technology, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or relevant field
• Post-graduate studies (MSc) in relevant field is also required
• 8+ years of experience in Data Platforms Management, Data Engineering, and Analytics - including hands-on work with big data, data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT and orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) - combined with a strong background in Statistical Analysis, Optimization Modelling, and Machine Learning
• 3+ years of experience in Managerial, operating and managing within established practices and procedures, with a degree of independence to achieve agreed goals
• Strong proficiency in Database Modeling, ETL (Extract-Transform-Load), Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing, Dimensional Modeling, Big Data Analytics Concepts, and Microsoft Azure/Fabric
• Strong knowledge of Probability & Statistics, Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, Data Governance, Resourcing & Workforce Planning, and Multi-Project Management. Relevant certifications in cloud data platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure/Fabric) or data science/analytics are a plus
• Professional level of English language
• Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Azure/Fabric, PySpark, SQL/database management systems, ETL Tools (Azure Data factory, SSIS), , orchestration tools (e.g Apache Airflow), power BI, Azure ML, Python
