Data Scientist

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support complex business and mission analytics through data analysis, visualization, validation, and statistical modeling. This position will work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and relationships and transform those findings into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI, Python, Power Query, SQL, and Excel and be comfortable translating ambiguous customer requirements into clear analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative, quantitative, statistical, and business data analysis
• Collect, transform, manipulate, validate, and combine structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, mockups, and analytical products using Power BI
• Use Python, SQL, Power Query, and Excel to prepare and analyze data
• Interpret data models and work with a variety of data sources and structures
• Apply mathematical and statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and relationships
• Translate customer requirements and business questions into analytical or system specifications
• Work directly with customers to define requirements and resolve data-related questions
• Document analytical processes, workflows, methodologies, and results
• Present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Manage multiple analytical tasks independently and within collaborative teams

Required Qualifications

• Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
• Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
• Experience in at least two of the following areas: business analytics, statistics, data verification/validation, or data visualization
• Experience applying qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to business problems
• Strong experience with Power BI and data visualization
• Experience transforming and manipulating data using Python
• Experience with Power Query, SQL, and Microsoft Excel
• Experience interpreting data models and working with multiple data sources and structures
• Experience developing visualization prototypes and presenting analytical products
• Experience translating customer requirements into project or system specifications
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to independently break down ambiguous problems into actionable plans

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with technical mission data involving collection, processing, analysis, or dissemination
• Experience with Intelligence Community business or mission data, applications, or database structures
• Knowledge of secure data handling procedures
• Experience with Jupyter, Visio, SharePoint, or Confluence
• Experience working with APIs
• Experience with GitHub or similar version control platforms
• Experience using R
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or four (4) years of relevant data analysis experience within the Intelligence Community or military
