Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, responsibilities for the position include the following:
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives with a strong customer-focused approach.
- Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
- Prepare, package, and label bakery products to Lake Country Co-op standards while maintaining production records.
- Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards.
- Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory is on the shelf; follow First in, first out (FIFO).
- Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department.
- Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:

- Experience in a retail bakery setting is considered an asset.
- Enthusiastic, honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work that you do.
- Strongly service-oriented, motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting of heavy lifting and standing for an entire shift.
- Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
- Flexible work schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
