Insurance Data Analyst | Lisboa

Main tasks

• Develop operational and management dashboards using Power BI or similar tools, ensuring data reliability, consistency, and accuracy;
• Define standard reporting templates for Close File Review processes, ensuring structured and consistent analysis;
• Analyse claims data to identify trends, deviations, and potential red flags impacting business performance;
• Perform end-to-end analysis of claims processes (FNOL to settlement and closure), identifying inefficiencies and operational or financial gaps;
• Detect and quantify leakage, including losses resulting from process errors, business rules, insufficient validations, or non-optimized costs;
• Propose corrective measures and support transformation and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and performance;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective implementation of improvements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the insurance sector, preferably within claims management;
• Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Management, or other relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, including Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel;
• Understanding of operational claims processes (Motor, Property, Health, or other lines);
• Experience in implementing Close File Review processes will be valued;
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities;
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
