Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Technical Value Delivery: Team Level for all Team Members: Driving Delivery and Tech Needs.
• Quality Gatekeeper: Coding Process, Code Reviews, Refinement, Releases, Technical Guidance, and Leadership.
• Remove Blockers: Raise Risks, CRs, and Pave the Way via POCs and Templating. Removes Distractions.
• Team Building: Building Strong Dev Teams, Tech and Cultural Fit Eval, Coaching and Mentoring the Team.
• Administration: Team Level: Admin of/for Direct Reports, both full-time and contingent: Hiring, Workday Admin, HR, Immigration, Required Training, Access, Contracts, Legal, Budgeting, Planning.
• Develops Talent: Individual Level for Full-Time Employees, 1:1s, Individual Coach and Mentor, Training, Finding New Opportunities, Performance, Reviews, and Promotions.
• Assist in expanding capabilities: SBE, Tech Product Level: Drives Strategy, Leading Strategic Org Objectives: Future Tech Needs, POCs, Community of Interest sponsorship.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience required to perform essential job functions.
• Additional Experience Qualifier (optional): Experience as a team lead in developing and evaluating technologies and running effective technology proof of concepts.
• Experience interviewing, hiring, and assessing personnel.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing a highly motivated technical workforce.
• Strong background in an appropriate area of technology. Communication skills to provide guidance and education on new concepts and practices to engineering team members.
• Ability to provide clear and directional communication regarding performance and skill development.
• Proven skills in coaching engineering team members in the areas of performance, standards, and work methods.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts within and across teams before they escalate (mediation skills).
• Ability to assist in organizing events (theme meetings, hackathons) in the subject area.
• Ability to create an atmosphere of trust and a comfortable and efficient work environment

Must Have Skills:

• Microsoft Dynamics Platform Leadership: Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 capabilities, architecture, data model, extensibility, and integration patterns, sufficient to guide design decisions and review complex solutions without being a hands-on specialist.
• Enterprise Platform Integration and API Strategy: Ability to lead integrations between Dynamics, content management systems, and other enterprise platforms using APIs, events, and middleware, with attention to data consistency, security, and scalability.
• Content Management and Digital Experience Concepts: Working knowledge of enterprise CMS principles such as content modeling, publishing workflows, personalization, and governance, focusing on how CMS platforms interact with CRM and business systems rather than tool-specific implementation.
• Cloud and Azure Ecosystem Oversight: Oversight of solutions hosted on Azure, including identity, security, monitoring, and cost considerations, recognizing how both Dynamics and CMS platforms rely on shared cloud services.
• DevOps, Environment, and Release Governance: Establish and enforce standards for CI/CD, environment management, and release coordination across Dynamics and CMS solutions, enabling reliable delivery and operational stability.
• Operational Accountability and Continuous Improvement: Own platform health, support models, performance, and cost awareness, using metrics and feedback to continuously improve reliability, efficiency, and team effectiveness.
