Combining disciplined purchasing with project-focused planning, the Project Buyer proactively identifies long-lead requirements, commercial and supply risks, supplier dependencies, and delivery constraints to help protect project readiness and customer commitments.

  • Identify and document savings, cost avoidance, and commercial value opportunities.
  • Support compliance with procurement policies, approval requirements, supplier due diligence, contractual terms, and applicable safety and ethical standards.

  • Build effective working relationships with Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, Accounts Payable, suppliers, and support project mobilization, execution, demobilization, and closeout activities.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and auditable sourcing and purchasing records.
  • Leverage available inventory across company locations and business units before initiating external purchases, utilizing intercompany transfers where practical to reduce costs, avoid duplicate purchases, and document savings.
