Jabra is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join the Global Industrialization team. In this role, you will help optimize and automate production lines, supporting stable, high-quality mass production across our Tier 1 supplier network in South East Asia.
You will driveautomationand continuous-improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, capacity, and flexibility inmanufacturing. Working closely with Tier 1manufacturingpartners, R&D, and the Global Industrialization team, you will ensure that production processes andautomationsolutions are ready for successful ramp-up and long-term operation.
Production Optimization and Cost Reduction ThroughAutomation
A key focus of this role is to improvemanufacturingefficiency, quality, and competitiveness through practicalautomationsolutions.
Identify and assess opportunities to reduce manual work and improve man-minutes per unit throughautomationand semi-automation.
Analyze production processes, equipment performance, andmanufacturingdata to identify improvement opportunities.
Challenge existing manual methods and develop robust, scalableautomationsolutions for mass production.
Work closely with Tier 1 supplierengineering teams to design, test, implement, and optimizeautomationequipment and processes.
Supportautomationof stable production processes, ensuring solutions deliver sustainable improvements in productivity, quality, and operator safety.
Collaborate with Jabra’sManufacturingTest team to improve testautomationperformance and integration withManufacturingExecution Systems (MES).
Use production KPIs and data to measure the impact ofautomationinitiatives and verify achieved improvements.
Documentautomationsolutions, process settings, and performance results to support replication across relevant production lines and sites.
The Profile We Are Looking For
Bachelor's degree or higher inEngineering or a related technical discipline is required.
Minimum5 years of experience inAutomationengineering, production engineering ormanufacturingTest, preferably within the consumer electronics industry.
Experience in design codeautomationsystems & platforms. Programming knowledge of robotics, PLC, OPC-UA
Experience working directly withTier 1 EMS/ODM/OEMmanufacturingpartners is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in Automationimplementation with hands-on experience
Knowledge of local suppliers capabilities in South East Asia is a benefit
Strong communication skills in English are required. Chinese language skills are an advantage. This position is primarily based at the factory in theNorthVietnam region(primarily Phú Thọ, Bắc Ninh, Hải Phòng areas - but not limited to these)and the candidate is expected to primarily work onsite at our Tier 1 partner sites. The role involves approximately 40% travel, mainly within the region, with occasional international travelin south east asia countries
Strong proficiency inMicrosoft Office package, Word & Azure DevOps.
