Project Manager

Guildhall is recruiting on behalf of a leading contracting company for a major energy sector project in Qatar. This flagship project involves the full turnkey delivery of Civil, MEP, Architectural, Fit-Out, Landscaping, and Furniture works, with an anticipated project duration of 24-36 months.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of this high-profile project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary construction teams, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with QatarEnergy standards and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead the day-to-day execution of the project from mobilization through to final handover.
• Manage all aspects of project delivery across Civil, MEP, Architectural, Fit-Out, Landscaping, and associated infrastructure works.
• Ensure project objectives are achieved in line with contractual obligations, programme milestones, budget, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement project execution plans, construction methodologies, and resource strategies.

Planning & Execution

• Monitor project schedules, progress, and key milestones, ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, and Construction teams.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimise delays and cost overruns.
• Review project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact with the client, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates on project performance, risks, and achievements.
• Build strong working relationships while ensuring client expectations are consistently met.

Commercial & Contract Management

• Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, procurement activities, and subcontractor performance.
• Support the management of contract variations, claims, and commercial matters.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Health, Safety & Quality

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with QatarEnergy HSE requirements and company procedures.
• Work closely with the QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure all works meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, and company quality requirements.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, and Supervisors.
• Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Drive performance, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience delivering large-scale EPC, Oil & Gas, industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager on multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Proven experience delivering Civil, MEP, Architectural, Fit-Out, and Infrastructure works under EPC or turnkey contracts.
• Current or previous QatarEnergy approval/work experience is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of project planning, construction methodologies, contract administration, and commercial management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
