About the Role
As Legal Counsel for Poland and Ukraine, you will provide practical, business-focused legal support to teams operating in two important markets, with the potential to contribute more broadly across CEE.
Reporting to the Head of Legal for CEE, you will work closely with commercial, product, operational and leadership teams. Your role will be to help the business make informed decisions, manage legal risk and move strategic initiatives forward in a highly regulated and fast-changing consumer healthcare environment.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of FMCG and pharmaceuticals, supporting established brands and a wide range of business activities. You will advise on topics including product launches, marketing, digital initiatives, AI, consumer protection, pharmaceutical regulations, product safety, competition law and distribution models.
The role offers significant ownership and visibility. You will influence local decision-making, engage with senior stakeholders and help shape practical legal processes, policies and governance frameworks that can be used across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted legal partner to business, commercial, product and operational teams in Poland and Ukraine, supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day decision-making.
- Provide clear, commercially relevant advice to key local stakeholders and the local Leadership Team, translating complex legal considerations into practical recommendations.
- Advise across a broad range of topics, including consumer protection, pharmaceutical regulations, advertising and digital advertising, product development and launches, product safety, competition law and distribution models.
- Support marketing, digital and AI initiatives by helping teams understand and address the relevant legal requirements.
- Monitor and interpret new and pending legislation, assess its potential business impact and advise stakeholders on necessary changes.
- Build scalable legal solutions by developing practical templates, policies, training materials, processes and governance frameworks.
- Deliver or c
- oordinate legal and compliance training for relevant business teams, helping them apply sound legal practices in their daily work.
- Represent Haleon in interactions with customers, suppliers, trade bodies, commercial associations and government agencies, as well as in other relevant external engagements.
- Select and manage external legal advisors, monitor their performance and ensure that external legal support is both effective and cost-conscious.
- Manage commercial disputes and litigation, while maintaining appropriate oversight of legal risks within the applicable risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Support Haleon corporate entities and contribute to the wider success of the CEE and European Legal teams.
Qualifications and Skills
Essentials
- You are a Polish-qualified lawyer with significant post-qualification experience gained within FMCG, consumer healthcare or the pharmaceutical industry. Your background enables you to understand both the regulatory complexity of the sector and the commercial realities behind business decisions.
- You can take a complex legal topic and explain it in a way that helps stakeholders decide what to do next. This requires strong communication and listening skills, sound judgement and the ability to balance speed, accuracy, legal risk and business priorities.
- You bring strong drafting and negotiation capabilities and are comfortable taking ownership of legal matters with limited supervision. You are able to work independently while building effective relationships with business leaders, operational teams and legal colleagues.
- You approach decisions thoughtfully and use available data and evidence to evaluate risks and possible courses of action. You are also motivated to expand your expertise, follow relevant legal developments and contribute beyond your immediate market responsibilities.

PLN 199 210,00 - PLN 273 913,20 The salary range for this position is indicative and provided as a guide. The final offer may vary depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Further details regarding the total reward and benefits package will be shared during the recruitment process. Salary ranges may vary by location in line with local market conditions and applicable pay transparency regulations. Compensation information is shared for the primary location of this role.
