Job Summary

Essential experience and skills

• 10+ years in project and programme management, including enterprise transformation programmes; not a junior or trainee profile.
• Enterprise programme and portfolio management, with demonstrated experience of demand intake and stage-gate governance.
• Senior stakeholder management up to executive level; able to hold a room with a VP or divisional head and to say no to a badly formed demand.
• Executive reporting and board-pack preparation - clean, decision-oriented material produced to a fixed cycle.
• Dependency and risk management across distributed international teams.
• Experience establishing a demand or portfolio process from scratch, not only operating an inherited one.
• Working English proficiency; able to work across Chennai and Munich hours, including occasional European-time governance forums.
• Discretion with unpublished portfolio, financial and board-level material.

  Desirable

  • Prior role in an AI, data or digital transformation programme office at group or global level.
  • Discrete manufacturing, rail vehicle systems or commercial vehicle systems industry context.
  • Familiarity with EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001, and with running a governance or assurance forum.
  • PMP, PRINCE2 or SAFe certification.

  • The CEO AI Council pack is produced on a repeatable template with no scramble.
  • A named KB owner is running the pipeline, the register and the governance cadence without us.

Key Responsibilities

Purpose. Own the demand management workstream and the programme management support for KB's AI transformation initiatives and governance. This is the senior of the two positions and the primary interface to executive-level KB stakeholders, including material that reaches the CEO AI Council.

Key responsibilities - AI demand management

• Design and operate a single AI demand intake channel across divisions and business units, including intake template, qualification criteria and triage routing.
• Maintain the demand pipeline through the DoI gates, tracking status, owner, sizing, dependencies and decision readiness for every item.
• Prepare prioritisation material and decision papers for the Value Management Organization and the relevant steering forums.
• Track conversion from demand to funded delivery, and report on cycle time and bottlenecks in the intake process.
• Roll out the intake route with value streams and business units, and revise it based on live use.

Key responsibilities - AI transformation initiatives and governance

• Provide programme management support to the mass AI adoption initiative: planning, tracking, adoption metrics and rollout coordination across business units.
• Maintain the central AI portfolio and AI asset register, including status, ownership and classification.
• Prepare CEO AI Council material: pre-reads, decision papers, minutes and action tracking through to closure.
• Support AI governance operations - governance forum coordination, assurance task tracking, and evidence collection against the KB AI governance framework.
• Maintain the consolidated AI programme risk, issue, decision and dependency log.
• Manage dependencies and risks across distributed international teams spanning Chennai, Munich and the divisions.

Deliverables owned

• AI demand intake process and toolkit, with an operating demand pipeline.
• Central AI portfolio and AI asset register, current at handover.
• Mass AI adoption initiative plan, tracking and adoption reporting.
• AI governance operations support pack - forum cadence, task tracker, evidence register.
• Consolidated programme risk, issue, decision and dependency log.
• Contribution to the handover and capability transfer material.
