About Integrated Bio
Integrated Bio (integratedbio.com) is a physical AI company developing multimodal biological datasets and AI for drug discovery, focusing on aging and age-related diseases. We are risk-takers, and we bet heavily that the future of societal health lies at the intersection of biological discovery, drug design, and AI. Our growing, star-studded team includes accomplished industry veterans and scientists from top universities, including Harvard, Princeton, and UCSB. Our team has deployed large-scale scientific discovery systems, brought drug candidates to the clinic, and published in Nature, Science, and Cell. We have accomplished all of this with no egos, and we are growing fast.
About the Role
We are looking for a Scientist or Senior Scientist to own our sequencing and high-throughput screening operations: the experimental heart of our closed-loop discovery engine. You will run the platforms that turn compounds and cells into multimodal data: plate-based screens, multiplex RNA-seq, and the NovaSeq X runs that anchor our sequencing operation.
You will work at the interface of automation and robotics, molecular biology, and data generation, partnering with our biology, chemistry, and AI teams to design screens whose readouts feed directly into model training and program decisions. If you love making high-throughput workflows run cleanly at scale and want your data to move the needle on human aging, we want to hear from you.
You will
- Own end-to-end high-throughput screening operations: assay setup, automation, plate handling (96-, 384-, and 1536-well), QC, and data handoff
- Design and execute multiplex RNA-seq workflows using Illumina reagents, from sample and library preparation through sequencing
- Plan, load, operate, and QC NovaSeq X runs, and own run integrity from flow cell to data delivery
- Develop sequencing-based screening readouts with the biology team, including transcriptomic signatures of senescence and aging
- Partner with the AI and platform team on data formats, metadata standards, and QC gates so every run improves our models
- Maintain rigorous documentation, reagent inventories, and instrument upkeep
You're a good fit if you have
- A Ph.D. in molecular biology, genomics, bioengineering, or a related field
- Hands-on knowledge of high-throughput screening, including plate-based assay workflows and automation (required)
- Hands-on knowledge of multiplex RNA-seq using Illumina reagents and the NovaSeq X (required)
- Strong molecular biology bench skills: library preparation, nucleic acid QC and quantification, and contamination control
- Care for data quality, including QC metrics, batch effects, and metadata
- The ability to learn and adapt quickly as part of a small team, and willingness to work hard in service of moving the needle on human aging
Bonus points for
- Methylation sequencing experience (EM-seq, WGBS, or methylation arrays)
- RNA-seq experience with organs, tissues, or whole blood, including extraction from difficult matrices and globin/rRNA depletion
- Single-cell or spatial transcriptomics experience
- Scripting for sequencing QC or analysis (Python or R; familiarity with Illumina pipelines such as DRAGEN)
- Interest in the business of biotech, especially therapeutics and drug discovery
What we offer
- Impact: You will play a key role in the work that drives our mission to cure age-related diseases. As an early hire, you will help shape the direction of the company, and your efforts will directly advance therapies with the potential to transform healthcare.
- People: You will work alongside a team of top-tier scientists and engineers, and directly with our founders, Dr. Felix Wong and Prof. Max Wilson. Our alumni have co-authored high-impact scientific papers and gone on to highly successful career trajectories.
- Flexibility: We cultivate an environment that is respectful of personal life and less rigid than academia or a large company. Joining us is like joining a family. We don't expect you to hang out with us outside of normal working hours, but it's likely you'll occasionally do so anyway because we're so fun.
Location & logistics
This onsite role is located at Redwood LIFE in Redwood City, CA, a modern and stunning life sciences complex in the Bay Area, with time at our vivarium and tissue processing site in San Carlos, CA as needed.
Visa sponsorship available where applicable. We'll work with you to make it happen.
Timing: search underway September to November 2026; target start January 2027.
Compensation & benefits
Salary band: $120K to $170K depending on experience and level (Scientist to Senior Scientist), plus substantial equity and a performance bonus, commensurate with experience and the cost of living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
