Invesco is an American investment manager founded in 1935 that grew largely by acquisition into one of the larger asset managers in the world, running money across equities, fixed income, alternatives and exchange traded funds. Its most valuable single asset is QQQ, the exchange traded fund tracking the Nasdaq-100 and among the most heavily traded securities in existence, alongside a substantial institutional and retail fund business. Headquartered in Atlanta and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it faces the same fee compression that has pushed the whole active management industry toward scale or specialisation.

Job Description

The Department: Distribution Intelligence

Distribution Intelligence is responsible for increasing client-focused, data-driven decision making at Invesco. The group partners primarily with the Americas Distribution and Marketing teams to help increase net sales through a deeper understanding of clients, financial advisors, direct purchasers, sales activity, and market opportunity. The team operates with a builder mindset: identifying high-value business questions, creating scalable analytics solutions, and partnering directly with the field to ensure insights translate into action. It works like a small startup within the organization, with a clear focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data, analytics, visualization, and in-field implementation. In short, it is an exciting place for self-starters who want to develop their capabilities, contribute to commercial analytics, and own meaningful outcomes.

Why This Role Is Exciting

  • Contribute to how Distribution uses data to identify growth opportunities, prioritize clients, and improve sales effectiveness
  • Work with sales leaders and business partners on strategic priorities with measurable business impact
  • Build analytics, dashboards, and data products that support field behavior and decision making
  • Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Product, Data Science, and Technology
  • Join a team with a builder mindset, where curiosity, ownership, innovation, and commercial impact are valued

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Analyze sales, ownership, client, and market data using business intelligence and modern data tools to help define business problems, uncover opportunities, and recommend actions
  • Support key components of the sales analytics roadmap and help ensure insights are actionable, scalable, and aligned with Distribution’s growth priorities
  • Help define, monitor, and measure client segmentation, campaign targeting, sales coverage, advisor prioritization, and strategy execution efforts
  • Manage analytical projects or defined workstreams from problem definition through solution design, implementation, communication, and adoption
  • Partner with Distribution, Marketing, Product, Data Science, and Technology teams to develop dashboards, data products, and automated insights that help business partners act with greater speed and confidence
  • Develop trusted relationships with Distribution leaders, sales consultants, product specialists, and other stakeholders, and communicate findings in a clear, business-oriented manner

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 3+ years of experience developing actionable insights and applying data analytics in a corporate, consulting, financial services, asset management, marketing analytics, or sales enablement setting
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to analytical workstreams, manage assigned deliverables, and convert business questions into practical analytics solutions
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Proficiency in data analysis and database querying using SQL; experience with Snowflake, AWS, Python, or similar modern data tools is preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to communicate analytical findings through clear, executive-ready materials
  • Experience with financial transaction data, client analytics, sales analytics, marketing analytics, or the asset management industry is preferred
  • Experience working with sales, product, technology, or data partners and translating business needs into analytical or technical requirements

Skills / Competencies / Attributes:

  • Commercial curiosity, with the ability to understand business needs, frame analytical questions, and connect insights to outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to define issues, identify root causes, evaluate options, and recommend solutions
  • Ability to balance technical analysis with practical application in a sales environment
  • Capable of explaining not only the “how,” but also the “so what” and “now what” for business partners
  • Comfort working in an agile, test-and-learn, and iterative environment with shifting priorities and ambiguous business questions
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple assignments

Formal Education:

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative, business, finance, economics, analytics, statistics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or related discipline
  • Coursework, certifications, or demonstrated experience in analytics, database management, data visualization, data engineering, machine learning, or financial markets is preferred
