Sr. Staff Software Engineer

For our client in Kraków, we are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer:

The company build complex, large-scale distributed systems that orchestrate the entire end-to-end real estate transaction lifecycle for customers. As an engineer on this team, you will work on game-changing products and build the foundational cloud computing platform that reinvents the real estate industry. We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer. The Sr. Staff Software Engineer will lead large projects, architectural design across teams. A successful candidate has technical depth and hands-on implementation experience of various practices and tools. The Sr. Staff Software Engineer is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to design and code modules for infrastructure, application, and processes. Here’s what you’ll be up to:

• Influence planning strategy by bringing business and industry insights to technical decisions

• Deliver architectures that is exemplary: efficiency, stability, extensibility, and the ability to evolve

• Lead with exemplary coding practices: code organization, clarity, simplicity, error handling, and documentation

• Stay ahead of industry trends, sharing new technical insights and best practices with peers

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 9+ years of commercial experience as a Software Development Engineer

• 9+ years of programming experience with at least one modern programming languages (Go, Ruby, Python, Java)

• 4+ years of experience contributing to architecture and design of new and concurrent, low latency systems (including Kafka and ML pipelines)

• Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL, MySql), DataStores (ElasticSearch, Redis)

• A strong background in app performance, monitoring, and optimization

• Experience with tooling and building pipelines on modern CI platforms

• Experience working with public cloud providers ( AWS / GCP)

• Solid Computer Science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design

• A self-starter mentality with an operational focus - a natural problem-solver
